Digital pre-orders for PS4 and Xbox One will grant you access to the Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time demo which releases today. The demo features three levels and two playable characters. One level is Snow Way Out, feature Crash using a Time Mask to slow down ice blocks and temporary platforms for safe passage. There will be plenty of Wumpa fruit and crates that need to be collected or destroyed, with an optional Bonus Path offering even more of a challenge. There’s also the Cortex Timeline of the Snow Way Out level, which features Neo Cortex as the playable character. Here, you can turn enemies into platforms or cubes which you can bounce on. Cortex can also dash on the ground or in mid-air to cross chasms. Dino Dash is the other demo level, and where you are sent to a dimension set millions of years ago. Here, you will have to outrun the rather ferocious, hungry, and terrifying Tyrannosaurus Rex. You will be able to “hop on top” of herbivores and use another Quantum Mask to phase platforms, obstacles, and boxes into the physical dimension. Upon release, you can expect over 100 levels to platform through with Flashback Tapes opening up additional levels in the game. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is only coming to PS4 and Xbox One for the time being, but that could possibly change down the road as Activision has said it is “evaluating” additional platforms.
