EVO Organisers have revealed the new, online-only version of the long running event. EVO Online is a five-weekend tournament with its own roster of games alongside many of the games in the original line-up. The biggest notable exception is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which was likely axed due to its poor netcode. Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7, Soulcalibur 6, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Samurai Shodown, Under Night In-Birth, and Granblue Fantasy Versus all remain. EVO Online is also hosting open tournaments for four other games that didn’t make the cut. Those being Mortal Kombat 11, Killer Instinct, Them’s Fightin’ Herds, and Skullgirls: Second Encore.
Details on how to sign up are forthcoming. For now, here’s the preliminary schedule:
July 4-5. July 11-12. July 18-19. July 25-26. July 31-August 2.
