Ubisoft previously said that Ghost Recon Breakpoint would be getting its immersive mode - a radical overhaul of the game’s systems to move it closer to its realistic roots - in February, along with the the Engineer class. Seeing as the developer had not communicated a release date, many assumed the features had been delayed. In a blog post, Ubisoft confirmed that both are indeed not going to make it out this month as previously planned. Instead, the two are now scheduled for sometime in spring. The developer said that implementing the mode proved complex, so more time is required for all the kinks to be worked out.
“Our objective with the new immersive mode is to provide an impactful update to the game using your feedback as the foundation,” the developer wrote. “The immersive mode is built upon the results of the community survey, your observations gathered by our community managers, and workshops with the Delta Company alongside extensive playtesting. We are in the process of creating an experience that will change the way you are able to play Ghost Recon Breakpoint.” In closing, Ubisoft says that more on the immersive mode will be revealed on March 5. The developer also hopes to improve communication with players, but notes that this may not always bring definitive information.
