If you’ve looked at the leaderboards since the game officially came out, you’ll know that some enterprising players are already smashing the six levels in the game, but Dubai in particular seems to be attracting some particularly quick attempts. Currently, the world record completion for the level stands at a frankly baffling nine seconds. Nine! Verified by speedrun.com (via PCGamesN), two speedrunners completed the any% category for On Top of the World in under 10 seconds. Wreak and Der_Lauch_Linus manage to achieve the remarkable feat by shooting the two targets you need to complete the level as soon as they spawn in at the beginning of the mission. With a steady hand enough forethought, you can enter the level, run up the steps of the lobby in the Sceptre (where the level is set) and shoot the two targets as they mingle with their contemporaries and business partners. Perhaps the interesting part of the feat is how the any% category is still not absolutely perfected: looking at the videos embedded on this page, you’ll see both runners trying to reduce the time of their run by making sure their initial lame is lined up perfectly. If you’re thinking ‘well, they’re not doing it properly because they don’t have the Silent Assassin rank’ then we’ve got some distressing news for you. As per Speedrun.com, the Silent Assassin category in the same level has been beaten in a frankly ludicrous 17 seconds. Hitman 3 has received some nice review scores, with VG247’s Alex Donaldson calling it “a fitting finale to one of gaming’s best trilogies.” If you need to find every door and safe code list for every keypad in every level, or a spoiler-free guide to finding every clue to solve the Death in the Family murder mystery, hit the respective links. They may not make you as quick as these guys, but hey – it’ll make you quicker.
