“A new Resident Evil Showcase will be dropping this April,” Capcom has announced in an official blog. “We don’t want to spoil any surprises, so we’ll leave it to all of you to speculate on what this upcoming presentation might contain.” At the time of writing, there’s no time or date attached to the broadcast – we just know that it’s coming in April. If you’re curious about what this new showcase may focus on, it’s likely to be similar to January’s Resident Evil Showcase livestream. That was a 15-minute long presentation that gave us our first look at Resident Evil Village gameplay and announced Resident Evil RE: Verse (which is getting an open beta soon, by the way). “New game details will be revealed in a new Resident Evil Showcase digital event in April, giving fans a look at what’s in store for them when Resident Evil Village launches on May 7,” says a PR email. “The Resident Evil Showcase in January revealed information on significant new gameplay features and characters for Resident Evil Village as well as other brand updates, and the April event will follow suit with new game content and 25th anniversary news to share.” So what else can you expect? Well, maybe we’ll hear more about Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, a TV show which is coming to Netflix in 2021. We could even learn more about the live-action Resident Evil series starring the ‘Wesker kids‘ that’s currently in the works, too.
